The Authors

Josè Palmer and Reinette Lombard the authors and creators of Tippie, are a mother and daughter duo, with 47 years combined educational experience. Josè and Reinette are both passionate about reading and learning.

Our Story

Curious Readers is an extension of the Tippie books and enables children to master language based activities in a fun, modern and interactive way. This non-traditional approach to learning ensures that children achieve success and the activities build progressively on one another.

What about Tippie?

Tippie is a bilingual elephant and already has 210 published adventures. The reading books are presented in 5 different levels with a very specific developmental focus. Tippie is not curriculum or grade specific as it would differ for each individual child. Tippie does however align to the outcomes in the CAPS curriculum and term assessments are based on the National Curriculum. The books are beautifully illustrated by Zinelda McDonald and published by LAPA Publishers, a division of Penguin Random House South Africa.

Children that can read with confidence and comprehension are children that can learn effectively and with ease.
